Organized by the European Global Navigation Satellite System Agency, the Global Monitoring for Environment and Security and the European Satellite Navigation Competition, European Space Solutions will take place from December 3 to 5 in London. It will gather business and the public-sector with users and developers of space-based solutions to explore how space can make a real difference to the lives, and livelihoods, of people across Europe. Space-based services and technologies are the future of efficient, effective and sustainable services that society needs. Conference participants will learn about current developments in their sector and explore tomorrow's solutions for today's challenges. Online registration closes 27 November.
In this framework, the London installation of the European Space Expo will be set up and open to the public from December 3 to 9 at Horse Guards Parade in St. James's Park. It is a 300 m2 travelling interactive public exhibition showcasing the many ways that the European Space Programme, and its flagship projects for satellite navigation (Galileo and Egnos) and earth monitoring (Gmes), are improving life on Earth.
This event will feature live demonstrations of innovative space-fuelled applications that can increase the independence and safety of the disabled and persons with special needs, plus interventions by key officials and specialists.
